#RealLife

Has it really been a month since I wrote an update? Wow.
Time flies when you're... Chasing a 2 yr old all day and not sleeping at night. Ha!

By the end of the day I usually feel one of two things:
1. "I got SO much done today!"
2. "I got absolutely Nothing done today!"

But in reality, we do the SAME thing everyday!
Cook!

Cuddle!

Change Diapers!

Make Toddler lunches!

Drink Smoothies!

Due to all the hype about postpartum depression and whatever, I made some rules for myself when we brought the baby home, just to make sure I didn't go crazy...

1. Brush hair, brush teeth and put make-up on every single day. Yes. Even if no one is coming over.
2. Eat something healthy everyday.
3. Spend special time with Brandon everyday.
4. Eat chocolate whenever I feel like I need it. (Everyday).
5. Get some kind of exercise in, everyday.

Gotta say, so far it's working!

I did go a little crazy being on lock-down for 6 weeks after my C-section.
Stuck at home, limited activity, limited sleep, limited energy, and my infant and a toddler everyday, all the time, never leaving my side.

Ahhhh!

We finally got the infant seat set up for our huge double stroller and I've had a few me-time outings, so life is good now.

During those 6 recovery weeks I sure had a lot of time to come up with some new recipes though! Smoothies, juicing, salads, paleo cookies, you name it, I tried to make it.

When you aren't allowed to work out or even vacuum, the only thing left to do, is to eat!!

...(And of course enjoy cheating on pizza night and Mexican food night).

Berries, bananas and cacao nibs for my sweet snacks.

Cold watermelon/strawberry drinks for hot days...

I even made a few batches of our own healthy Raw Nut Snack bars! (They tasted just like the little $3 bars from the health food store!)

Brandon calls them "cookies". Haha

(Starting my p90x and Insanity videos again, woo!)

...It all payed off!

I got to start wearing my old jeans again, 7 weeks post partum. Woop woooop!

(Not that yoga pants aren't comfy... but it Feels SO good to be ME again!!)

Journey is growing like a weed, even though my eating habits include minimal carbs and tons of fruits, veggies and salads.
She's quite the little chunker now!
And such a happy cutie!

(2 months old!)

Milk drunk!

Sometimes I'm SO amazed that I'm growing this beautiful human being strictly from milk I'm producing.
I know this is all God's plan but it's hard to wrap my head around.
Breast feeding definitely makes me think twice about what I'm puting into my own body though....

I work my coffee, spicey food and broccoli around my pumping times, so I don't give her too much of something that'll bother her tummy.

And I try not to eat any gross processed food or fast food. Unless the day really, really calls for it.

She went through a growth spurt a few weeks back, forcing me to drink tons of water and load up on Mother's Milk Tea to keep up with her feeding demand. The crazy kiddo has gained 2 inches and almost 4 lbs in the last 2 months, yikes!

Matt has been busy at work, but he still helps me out at night during my PM "nap" time. Right around 8:30pm after Brandon is in bed, I'll pass out on the couch until maybe 10pm. I'll take a shower, or attempt to watch a show with my hubby. I usually only see half of whatever he turns on though, haha. Zzzzz...

Brandon is doing a great job potty training! Mostly...
He spends most of the day running around wreaking havuk, terrorizing the pets and digging up my flowers... All of this while rocking the butt-naked look.

He's fun. He's SO good with his baby sister too.

He's also talking in some pretty full sentences now!

Some days are just so great.
And some days are just a huge mess.

We call that "real life".
#RealLife

In other news, I just got an email from Journey's Neurologist saying that her most recent EEG test came back normal!!
No seizure activity was detected,
Thank you Lord!!

We are still waiting for a court date to finalize Brandon's adoption, but we have peace about the whole thing and we know it's getting close!

So, that's about it for now...

Oh! We're also getting pretty excited to spend our first Easter having kids!
This should be fun :)
