Just a little note from me:

Hello and Welcome to Messy Little Smiles Organic Lip Balm!

I currently have 2 kiddos. A bio baby and an adopted toddler.
Due to a special-styled lip he was born with, my 2 yr old son always needs lip balm. Of course, he loves to put it on himself. I always worry what chemicals he might be ingesting while applying it, (more like glopping it all over his face, licking it, etc..)

What started as a curiosity towards making my own organic lip care for him, has suddenly turned into a passion for creating a kid-safe product to share! (And of course Adults and Parents are using our Organic Lip Balm as well).

I know, you're wondering about our name. Messy Little Smiles was inspired by my son as well. We are always sharing smoothies, veggie pressed juices, berries or yummy greek yogurt.
Between all the face-wiping and out door play, we use a lot of Lip Balm!
I truly appreciate your interest in my product and your support of a stay at home mom with a passion for Organic self care.

Please email me with any questions, comments or concerns! I will try to respond within a 24 hour period. Please email me at Messylittlesmiles@yahoo.com
THANK YOU and ENJOY!!

4 and More

My little chunker is 4 months old! (as of yesterday.)
(Those thighs! 😘)

She's doubled in weight, commin' in at 13.8lbs and 24 inches long.
Woo! No wonder these arms are toning up.

I am truly amazed at how fast she's growing. At the same time, it feels like she's taking forever to get to Brandon's level.

I can't wait until they can play together.
Right now "playtime" consists of Brandon putting some random toy in the baby's bed while she's sleeping, and proclaiming, "Baby! Play!!"

One day it was a toy hammar.

The next day it was a crayon.
"Baby, color?"

Oooh boy.

In honor of surviving 4 months of limited sleep, I did a little photo shoot today after her 4 month well-baby check up.

(I love these little gowns they put the baby in at Kaiser)

Journey is all smiles these days. She knows where I am at all times and if she can't see or hear me, she'll start yelling.

Not crying.

                   yelling.

Seriously.

it sounds like "heeeey!" And "ahhhh!!"

Hilarious!

She's also into waking up at 4am for a diaper change and a nice long chit-chat.

This morning I think she was practicing her vowels?

"Aaa-eeee--iii-oooo---uuuu."

She still isn't a fan on anything that helps me get stuff done, (this lasted 7 minutes).

But she does like to lay flat on her back and kick her legs like crazy.

She's going to skip the crawling/walking stuff and just hit the ground running one of these days!

(Daisy wanted baby kisses!)

I love it when both of the kids pass out for naps at the same time.

Then I get a chance to do something crazy, like put my feet up... have a snack... type a blog... Ahhh, the little things.

(Carrot/Beet juice and Black Bean Chips!)

I've never done the infant/baby thing before so this is all pretty cute, tiring, fun, exhausting and entertaining! So any chance I get to relax, man, I'll take it!

On a not-so-baby note... Brandon is potty trained! *finally!*

We haven't had any insidences in about a month now, he's such a good boy!
So "Ma" (my mother in law), took him to get some big boy undies!

He was SO excited.

He was even more excited when he found out he could put on about 4 pair at one time.

Well that's about it for now.

The sun is shining, the breeze is breezing... I made a huge purple mess in the kitchen I should go clean up.. Oh those beets.

Yikes, and I just ate about $4 dollars worth of chips.
